Deep Sea Fishing
We
organize deep-sea fishing safaris mainly on request as there are
specific activities geared for beginners, professionals and special-interest
groups. Both deep-sea
fishing and scuba
diving are optional and do not include accommodation, transfers,
tickets or visas to neighboring country's waters.
Should you wish to book any of the activities, contact us seven
to ten days prior to your arrival. Kenya
boasts one of the world's leading deep-sea fishing resorts-Hemmingsway,
which offers fishing excursions for the amateur and professional
angler.
All along the coast there are fishing clubs from where fishing trips
can be organized.Fishing trips are usually scheduled for a full
day and commence at dawn.
Scuba diving
Scuba
diving is offered throughout the Kenyan coastal beach hotels.
Accommodation, transfers and transport to the coast will
be charged according to your choice.
Charges for scuba diving are on 'per dive' basis and varies
from hotel to hotel with an extra US$60 per dive charged for Marine
Park entrance fees. We
are happy to provide the diving rates upon request.
Please note that marine entrance fees are subject to change
without notice.
Diving
packages can be tailored to suit individual requirements and the
warm waters of the Indian Ocean. There are also ideal conditions
for beginners to learn diving before venturing out into the deep
sea as the Kenyan coast is protected by a coral reef. The Shimoni Reef is a prime site for divers, as its four islands
offer quite a spectacular array of marine life.
