Amboseli national park is second famous after the Maasai Mara in Kenya ,mainly because of the spectacular back drop of Africa's highest Mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro also known as "THE ROOF OF AFRICA" which broods the southern boundary of the park.
At392 sq km, Amboseli is a small park and it lacks the profusion of animal species found in Maasai Mara providing good chance of seeing some of the lager predators. |

Aberdare national park. this park encloses two different environments: the kinangop plateau in the west is moorland, peaks and forest, while the salient is an out crop of dense rain forest to the east. viewing animals here is not like the open savanna of Amboseli and Maasai Mara. the dense cover for the salient provides excellent cover for the animals, so it's best to stay little night .
Samburu national reserve: the park is found in the northern arid part of Kenya . Along the banks of Ewaso Ngiro river the landscape is mixture of plain and peak, scrub desert and savanna. the green swathe around the river , which is permanent, life line for the wild life and supports a wide variety of wildlife, including the gerenuk and the grevy zebras, Somali ostrich's almost guaranteed close-up sightings of elephants, and the reticulated giraffes
Mt. Kenya national park: Mt Kenya is the only land mark that counts in this area. being the highest mountain in Kenya , it offers a fantastic experience for mountain climbers. Mt Kenya 's highest peaks are the batian (5199m) and nelion which can only be reached by technical climbers however point lenana(4895m) can be reached by trekkers and is the usual goal for most people.
Lakes Nakuru national park. L. Nakuru has maintained a reputation as an ORNITHOROGIST paradise, with more than 400 bird species recorded, but there is much more to see to the park than just the lake. Good chance to see Leopard ,black and white rhino and also the plain game.
L. Baringo national park: the lake, with its picturesque islands and the encircling mountains, is still a spectacular sight and a popular place to visit. Bird walks and boat ride are the most popular activities. A bird watchers and naturalist paradise.
The safari then takes us south through the Great Rift Valley to where the largest concentration of the game in Kenya is found Maasai mara, Kenya's most visited national reserve due to its abundant wild life both flora and fauna and especially the great annual migration of the wild beast.
